There once was a mysterious traveler who never let anyone know where he was going. His enigmatic presence piqued the curiosity of those around him. They often asked him about his destination, but he remained tight-lipped, only adding to the intrigue.
The traveler had various people in his surroundings, and their curiosity about his journey grew. One person, who had access to the traveler, saw an opportunity. He began sharing his personal opinions about the traveler’s life, using this information to gain invites and monetary rewards. He spun tales that entertained the onlookers, feeding them what they wanted to hear. This person used his proximity to the traveler as a scheme to make money.
As word spread, others began to create their own stories about the traveler. They pieced together information from social gatherings, social media, and diverse conversations. This self-indulgent behavior allowed them to feel important, utilized, and significant. They thrived on the narratives they constructed, basking in the attention it brought them.
However, the traveler was well aware of the false stories circulating about his life, purpose, and reputation. Despite the rumors, he remained at peace. He knew his true goals, purpose, and ambition—to please God.
Eventually, the traveler grew weary of the misinformation. He decided he had heard enough. He stopped talking, rebuked some, and denied the storytellers any further access to his life. He understood that these people had bad intentions. They surrounded him not out of genuine interest, but to suppress his ambitions and profit from his good works, for his greatness was natural and God-given.
So, the traveler began his journey anew. He became even more mysterious, and great things began to happen around him. His former surroundings no longer had access to him. His steps grew more vibrant and joyful, though he was aware that onlookers still watched from afar. But they were too distant to cause any further harm with their chaotic, two-faced behavior.
As he continued on his path, the traveler found solace in the words of scripture. He recalled the wisdom of Proverbs 4:25-27:
“Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you. Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways. Do not turn to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil.”
The traveler embraced this guidance, knowing that his journey was divinely directed. He found strength in Isaiah 40:31:
“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
With renewed vigor, the traveler pressed forward, trusting in God’s plan for his life. He left behind those who sought to use him, focusing only on the path ahead, knowing that it was God who directed his steps, as written in Psalm 37:23:
“The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him.”
In the end, the traveler’s journey was a testimony to the power of faith and the importance of walking with God, leaving behind all who would seek to distract or profit from his purpose. He understood that true peace and greatness come from obedience to God, and as he moved forward, his life became a reflection of this truth.
